I wish I could say that I've been working on this picture since before Christmas, but the truth is that the holidays are way too busy for me to get drawing done. This picture is my submission for starmen.net's Holiday Funfest competition.

Also, you may be wondering why these characters are standing around in a blizzard while wearing nothing more than light summer clothing. If that is indeed your concern, then simply ask yourself this question: "How often have I actually seen a game character actually change clothing to fit their environment?" The answer is "not often." Every platformer and RPG features a snow level, and seldom do characters give any thought to bounding into freezing temperatures while wearing nothing more than a hat and a shirt. My case be rested.

Furthermore, the frog on top of Leder's hat is Saving Frog's close cousin, Michigan J. Savingfrog.

Leder's part in Mother 3 blew my mind. It was almost too much to take in one sitting...

I pretty much knew that if I were going to draw Mother 3 fan art it'd have to have Leder in it. I was also pleased with the translation for that part of the game; that scene held a lot of emotional impact and would have been ruined if it hadn't been done just right.
